Step 2 — Install

Windows: Run the downloaded .exe installer and follow the prompts. Chanterelle will be added to your Start menu and desktop.

Step 3 — Launch & First-Time Setup

On first launch, Chanterelle will prompt you to select a projects directory — the root folder where it will scan for your projects.

Choose (or create) a folder such as ~/chanterelle-projects/. Chanterelle scans this directory at startup and lists every project it finds in the catalog.

tip

You can change the projects directory at any time from the Settings page.

Step 4 — Verify

Once the app opens and the projects directory is set, you should see the catalog screen. If your folder is empty that's expected — the catalog will simply show an empty state until you add a project.
